Egypt wrapped up their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a 2-1 defeat against Brazil.
The Pharaohs fell behind after seven minutes when Mohanad Lasheen was caught near the edge of the area, allowing Bruno Guimarães to drive forward and finish low past Mostafa Shoubir.
Hossam Hassan’s side equalised minutes later through Mostafa Ziko, who read Marquinhos’ misplaced back pass before keeping his composure to beat Alisson.
Brazil regained the lead early in the second half through half-time substitute Endrick, who turned in Raphinha’s cut-back from the left.
Mohamed Salah was introduced at the break as Egypt searched for a second goal, and Ahmed Fatouh forced Weverton into a save, but the Pharaohs could not find a way back in their final World Cup warm-up.
